The Challenge
Multi-national food plants were managing procurement and equipment hierarchies through SAP's dense, non-intuitive interface — too heavy for day-to-day use by plant floor staff. The mismatch between the plant's physical layout and SAP's logical structure led to duplicate data entry, shadow spreadsheets, and fragmented records across different plant locations.
The Solution
We built a bi-directional integration layer that keeps local plant databases and the central SAP instance in sync automatically, so procurement records reconcile without manual re-entry. On top of that, plant floor engineers get a lightweight, purpose-built web portal instead of the full SAP interface — stripped down to exactly what they need for quick data entry and retrieval, with the physical plant layout mapped directly to its SAP equipment hierarchy.
The Results
Procurement and equipment records stay consistent between the plant floor and SAP without staff manually re-keying data in two systems, and engineers get accurate stock visibility from an interface built around how they actually work.
